What is GIF and how does animation work?

GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format, but to me it means a moving picture. To me it means that you combine some pictures and make it into a mini moving picture. Animation works in a lot of different ways, for example you can make just one picture, get just one picture, choose to animate it and you can create a GIF. because you see the thing is that once you want to animate a picture you first start off with the original picture, then you add it to the animation slides, then you make the changes you'd like to that image that way when you play the animation the picture is moving because of the different changes in the picture. animation,film or anything else, works by presenting images with usually minor differences in a steady progression, so that it tricks the eye into believing that the images are actually moving in live action.
